Check for splits in the 2 Intercooler to intake hoses. This could have caused the issue with the DPF as well but if the mechanic knew Range Rovers well that should have been the first thing they checked. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Most likely a split intercooler hose - very common on the 3.6 and easily fixed.

Did the 3.6 ever come fitted with a DPF, I thought that was 4.4`s only in certain markets? I am with the split intercooler hose or cracked inlet manifold 2007 TDV8 VSE

From what i have read, there where only some 3.6 TDV8 that got it. So 95% don't have it and i'm one of the lucky few who got it (but not anymore) |
