Looking for a drivers side heated & electrochromatic wing mirror glass for a 2012 L 322. Main dealers seem to be the only option & cica £279.00! Has anyone found a good alternative.
Also need a drivers & passenger side memory wing mirror motor again cant seem to find these other than a main dealer with attendant eye watering price tags. Has anyone found an aftermarket alternative.

Looking to get the vehicle back to 100% original hence the quest for an electrochromatic drivers rear view mirror.

Has anyone upgranded the sat nav software in a 2012 L 322 if yes what disck did you use?

I don’t think the sat nav uses a disk, I think it’s a download using the FireWire connection…. Dealer only so far……

Mine is still on 2010 version, but Car Play via this unit gives me up to date maps and traffic info , with a choice from Apple Maps, Google maps, or Waze. All of which I am happy with.

I was looking at this exact set up- can you set it up so the music from your media still comes through the car speakers, I’ve got the invery in mine and I want that to still come through the car speakers rather than the unit, is that possible? 2009 (2010 MY) 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography

Hi,

On the door mirrors I gave up as spending £200+ per side just to have the auto dim function and it fail again the next winter was just taking the p**s. It never really worked well anyway.

So I plumped for replacing the glass with blue tinted convex heated versions off of EBAY for £15 each.

Never really had any problems with dazzle, work a treat and saving me hundreds of our English pounds.

Our 2012 Sat Nav isn't really upgradeable now, it's a hard drive update and has to be done by the dealer. I think they stopped maps in 2015/16 and the dealers don't have the kit any more, even if they did it's a time consuming job and used to cost £150 ten years ago so who knows how much now, if at all possible and would be well out of date anyway.

I use a tablet on the dash top running Sygic & Waze, much much better, but you could pay around £600 and have your existing head unit modified to take Car Play, but not really value for money.

I have run the aux sound output cable under the carpet down the passenger side tunnel and into the rear aux socket so it is completely out of sight and all the sound comes through the car speakers ,and the steering wheel controls work as normal.
I don’t use the car Bluetooth phone, just plug it in so it is always charged and everything works through the unit including WhatsApp messages , phone book etc on the much clearer screen.

Looks like its aftermarket for the Sat Nav, will probably use the Unique Auto Developments Car Play kit to keep the overall look of the dash original. Does anyone have any experience or comments on these units. Looks good in the You Tube videos I have looked at.
