United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver
Supercharged V6

So the deal on the 5.0 supercharged didn’t work out so I’m back on my hunt… and being honest I was fully intending on taking a punt on a 4.4 sdv8… then I discovered the supercharged v6…

Does anyone know how they compare economy wise with the 4.4sdv8?

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Santorini Black

I believe it was the ‘perfect blend’ with the power of a TDV8 but the economy of a SCV8 and the reason they sold so few.

It is generally considered the ‘wrong’ engine for a FFRR and is far better suited to a F-Type which is where it originated from.

In the real world though, I wonder how much the mpg figures and performance actually become far closer to each other. The trouble is there were so few SCV6 sold there is little anecdotal feedback.

If there was a perfect in every way FFRR that I wanted but it had the SCV6 rather than one of the other engines, I would still buy it over a TDV8 or SCV8 that wasn’t perfect.
