4.2 supercharged camshaft sensor

Hi, sorry if this has been asked already. My car came up with camshaft position sensor fault the other day. I have seen i can get hold of new ones easily but i am struggling to see where exactly these are located, i have a landrover workshop manual but am i right in thinking i need to remove some parts to locate them? Thanks in advance

what problems are you having with the car out of curiosity? I've not got ay faults yet but it is a hard start 90% time cold or even warm after an hour without driving... Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

I’m not having any starting issues, the car just came up with a few faults which i think could be part down to the battery seems low as if i dont drive it for a while it struggles to turn over. Out of curiosity i just scanned the car and it said camshaft position sensor. Other than that i think the car is running okay. So long as i use it daily i don’t get any bother other than the air suspension!
