I just use some silicone spray lubricant. Enables you to spray between sections. No need to dismantle, but does need redoing every 3-4 months. |

Just use some quick dry silicone lube with the pipe attachment to get right in there as you excercise the mirrors, you don't want to use grease, oil, WD40 etc as it'll just clog up with dust and crud.

the problem is with aluminium oxidation. lubrication will not solve the problem.You can put some dry grease, but it helps fow just while. Beter is to remove plastic cover then remove oxided aluminium and then lube it. |
