Hi Guys,

My black leather seats are starting to look not as black/dark as before. I'm wondering if there is a way to safely restore the colour without blocking the tiny holes. I'm concious that I dont want to block/affect the heating/cooling element of the seats by using some kind of polish that clogs the seats.

Anyone done this themselves or used a company?

Do you mean there is wear? I.e. the finish is coming off - or are they just shiny and dirty?

I would say they are dry/faded in some areas and not as black as once before.

That stuff didn’t block the tiny holes in the seat and back rest?

Any liquid will block the breathing holes on the seat leather. The trick is to have a near dry wipe of dye. Basically sparingly apply the dye to a lint free cloth and wipe. Its easy enough to do. You will need to prep the leather first with degreaser before applying colour restorer. Then finish off with a satin sealant.

What Baz said! It works fine as long as you don’t overdo it. Use sparingly with a few light coats is the method to use and not block the perforations.

I bought the touch up pen from these guys recently, not got time to try it out yet but heard really good things as it includes the top coat in it as well, often overlooked when people dye the seats
