On my L322 ( basicaly the same engine and gearbox) it holds revs longer during warmup and while going up hills at slow speed. The official explanation for the former is to get the engine up to temps quicker but seeing as how engine temp is governed by load rather than revs I have a theory it's to keep oil pressure ( i.e flow) up during low rev/ high load situations. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Has anyone else been driving it, or have you towed anything heavy recently?
