*EDIT* Climate seats retrofit to Vogue [Fully Working now].

I've done the ol' 'replaced my heated seats with the climate seats' upgrade as I've always liked the cream interiors and when the opportunity of getting an ivony interior from an AB arose, I just couldn't resist. The seats are so much comfier than my old ones and just look lovely in my opinion.

Anyway, I've replaced everything except the seat loom inc the control panel and control module. Talking to breakers has been more miss than hit in trying to get this loom that's needed. Would anyone here have access to a parts catalogue (SDD?) to obtain the required part no for the loom?

This would help I think in sourcing a loom, even if it meant going to JLR... Shocked

While I can live without the heated/cooling function, the missus keeps berating me when it's a little 'fresh' outside... Cam

should be able to track it down from here as this will give you the part numbers (and a small heat attack at the prices!)

Cheers Paul. Heart attack indeed! Those are some quality parts prices lol. However, I kinda got lost looking for the loom I'm after...it looks like it may be LR022910 or LR022911/ LR030943 or LR030944, but they're the whole loom! Didn't think I'd need the whole thing...still, if I do it might help with breakers etc so the search continues...

Thanks again. Cam

Update on this - I finally managed to get a loom to do this (all 35 kgs of it!) and booked some time off to do the job. Stripped out the interior and centre console to be able to lift the carpet, only to find the missing connectors tucked away... Rolling Eyes

Anyway. Rebuilt everything, fitted new seat climate module and plugged everything in. Coded the new module, seats and HVAC control panel in SDD. Seats are now 'installed' and the seat module too along with some updated firmware. Unfortunately the HVAC panel doesn't want to turn the seats on. Checking through diagnostics, the HVAC panel all seems to work apart from the seat controls...all buttons and controls work for everything else, but monitoring the seat buttons when pressing...nothing.

The HVAC still has a permanent DLC for wrong configuration, despite being coded for the vin and updated with new firmware. I'm wondering it it's the wrong part no (sourced from ebay)...maybe from a newer model (seats are from 2007 I think). Cam

You could be right, I may have missed something.

In terms of hardware, I thought I had everything but was suspecting I had the wrong climate control panel/module. Cam

I was watching them through diagnostics yes, all the buttons responded except the seat ones - nothing in the live values. Cam

defo then feels like you are missing some ccf config.

i had a similar issue when I was doing adaptive cruise control and was missing some odd obscure setting.

maybe someone with the seats can do a dump of their ccf config. Its actually a sport Sad

You were on the money. Checked over the settings and found one [Heated Seats| Heated Seats] that initially looked like it was correct, changed to [Heated Seats|Heated & Cooled Seats] Rolling Eyes

Now it all works. Very chuffed I got this working. Thanks for the input Thumbs Up Cam

Ah thata great

Do you mind listing exactly what you needed to make it for from a stock car?

Am guessing you didn't need an entire car loom in the end and maybe where we can find the connectors? Its actually a sport Sad

I got the entire interior from an Autobiography from the glovebox down, front to back.

As far as the climate seats are concerned, along with them (and for me only the fronts were climate, if rears were climate there would be additional settings in ccf) I replaced the HVAC control panel and added the Drivers Seat Climate Control Module - the plastic tray under the driver's seat is designed for the DSCCM to clip into it, so there's no doubting where it should go. When I had everything stripped out the car to lift the carpet and compare wiring looms, I was scratching my head when trying to marry up the connections...I couldn't see a difference. It was only when I offered up the DSCCM to the connections in the car that I realised that they must have been hiding under the carpet and I didn't notice when pulling it all apart. They definitely weren't there before. I suspect it may be the same for anyone else with normal heated seats. At least from 2010 onwards, perhaps earlier. What's slightly interesting is that the rear seats, although just heated like the old ones, don't have any pressure sensors for telling if a passenger is sitting on them. So they have one less connector. I can only assume that from 2010 onward it was a statutory requirement. I actually liked this as I didn't have to say anything to rear passengers, the car nagged them instead Laughing

So to summarise, to upgrade to climate seats you will need;

    * Climate seats shocker
    * HVAC Control Panel from car with climate seats
    * Drivers Seat Climate Control Module
    * Modified CCF to allow it all to work

Hopefully that will help someone. Smile Cam
