Hi All,

I'm a new member of the Range Rover family. I picked up a 2017 RR TD6 this spring knowing it would need a timing belt. I'm having a hard time sourcing a Dayco kit here in Canada. the Dayco website shows no compatible kits in the North American catalog, but the European catalog shows KTB399 (cams) and KTB702 (injection pump), and the Australian catalog shows KTB1214E as being compatible for this year and model.

Does anyone know if the North American engines have any differences that would make either of these timing kits incompatible? Is there anything else I should be considering?

this is a quote i got for my 2015 112k service..it lists the part numbers..

Gen1 belt kits are: LR016655 + LR016656 (KTB399 + KTB702)

Gen2 belts kits are LR078913 + LR069054 (KTB1193 + KTB702)

The cam belt kits are different, the Gen1 has an 8mm hole in the the tensioner, the Gen2 has a 10mm hole

Both rear belt kits are the same

KTB1214 appears to be the front and rear belt together in a kit, but make no mention of Gen1/Gen2

Thanks, Mikey. I came across a youtube video of someone comparing the Ford F-150 timing belt kit with Dayco's KTB1214. He showed the tensioner bolt and it was a 10mm bolt. I went ahead and ordered the Dayco kit on ebay and will post back here once it arrives from Poland.

Update: The Dayco Timing belt kit KTB1214 comes with a 10mm tensioner bolt, so it will work with the Gen 2 engines.
