No good for any of us with existing vehicles but they are clearly worried about future sales:

The start of the race to the bottom here, difficult situation but surely this isn't sustainable? BMW i3 Electric Car

Hi, getting a P550e Autobiography in Charente Grey with Nickel trim. Only extras are privacy glass and home link buttons. Thought I ordered upgraded (near-analine) leather but apparently not, according to the dealer! I will have it for a week the. It is going to a detailed for 3 days to get full paint correction and ceramic coating. Will be tough to be parted with my new baby at birth! |

I had similar (£279/month) but once the £150/month JLR contribution is added it is a lot more palatable. I had to work hard, between dealer, insurer and JLR customer support to get the discount though! |

That's all good and well for now, but the next owner of the car won't get any contribution and they won't be any more insurable, so the depreciation will make the ownership a ridiculous proposition.

Hi we are having similar issues trying to get the discount applied on our new car. The insurance company is saying we need a specific dealer link to get the discount and the dealer isn’t even aware a specific link existing. How did you manage to get it sorted in the end? |

That is exactly the problem I had. I went round and round in circles with insurer insisting on the link and dealer not having one! In the end, I authorised the dealer to speak on my behalf (I gave authority when speaking to insurer) and he then spoke directly to them. Got the link in the end. It definitely needs this, so dealer has to find a way. |
