Has anyone ever had a recall for the passenger side airbag ? (RH side as we've LHD vehicle)

Ours is booked in at a main dealer 12th of June.

It seems there could be metal fragments when it pops. We got the letter about it fairly quickly after we registered ours in Germany.

Once I find the recall number I'll post it here.

Is it the takarta airbag recall?

I had the recall for my 2014 f10 M5 driver airbag. Seems to have affected many thousands of cars.

I'm not sure about what bag it is but I'll ask SWMBO for the paperwork tonight as that's her thing

Okay, I looked at the paper and It says on it "Program N603"

Don't know if that's the recall code but I couldn't find anything else.

The other thing it said on it was that it was for cars built between 2007-2012

A little Goo-gling turned up the EU recall on it.

Never had a recall note here in the Netherlands. Driving a 2007 tdv8. I will contact our dealer and find out what they make of it. We bought the car september 2023, so maybe the work has been done.

Hi Rob, we bought ours in September '23 (in the Netherlands) as well.
As soon as we registered it in Germany we had the letter from the German government coming in saying we had to make contact with a dealer to have it done.

Well, We had an appointment yesterday to get a the passenger airbag changed out so they did.
No problems what so ever. No cost either.

If you have queries about the recall it states in the link I posted above it's for certain vehicles built between such and such dates so it might be worth contacting a main dealer about it.

I guess your front passenger might not like to "saved" by shrapnel in case of an accident.

hmmm, I just bought a MY2012 from 03/12 in France, so supposedly within the given period. What should I do? Just contact a LR Dealer in the neighbourhood, state this recall, and have them fix it? How can I check if this wasn't already fixed before I bought the car?

added: I see that the recall is for MY12 until July, however my MY12 from march has a VIN thats younger than the last number mentioned, how odd. Looks like I'm not part of this recall in the end.

I contacted LR France and got my answer, my MY12 is also included in the airbag recall. Couldnt lmake an appointment yet as the dealer network in France is based on individual garages. Will call one directly. Thanks all. 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE
