My understanding is that different tyres/tread patterns will have very slightly different rolling circumferences, construction and deformation characteristics. On a 2WD car as long as tyres match on each axel you're unlikely to have any trouble...but on a 4WD you'll be putting some extra strain on the drivetrain. All very marginal, so not something to loose sleep over but probably wise to get them swapped out soonish as you plan Dan. If you leave it too long the older ones will have lost a mm or two in wear so will not balance with the new ones anyway. Mike - MPx
