New style bluetooth module as standard on a 2008?

Hi, just picked up my 2008 vogue, have had an 05 td6 and 03 4.3 before this one. Only a couple of small jobs, one is no bluetooth? Says phone not fitted, so in the back I go thinking the nokia bt unit will be toast and low and behold it has the later 2010 black plastic one, ok maybe its been wired up wrong, but it has std the 2 wires in the plug, this has not been cut or adapted, its 100 % factory, is this normal as I though it would be the old nokia one and can the newer ones fail also, it is enabled in the ccf menu.
Thanks

The later Disco Bluetooth only has the +ve and -ve connections and if the radio works it’s likely the Bluetooth does too. Phone not fitted suggests your phone is not paired.

Regards

John

Yh it has the 2 wires only but this is not a disco aftermarket, this appears to be factpry fitted, only 2 wires in the plug and only 2 wires in the loom, so it is mot a retrofit. I was under the impression an 08 range rover would still have the nkia style bluetooth, this even has the correct bracket to hold the bigger bluetooth unit in, not some double sided tape or cable ties. To pair it says put bluetooth on phone in pairing and enter number, but car not sending any bluetooth signal at all. My 05 says exactly the same on the screen, phone not fitted and the bluetooth on that one is bypassed. So I think this unit may have gone faulty, I am going to try and reflash the bluetooth module tomorrow using my iid tool, see if that helps?
But thanks for the reply buddy
