2010 on Towbar Wiring Connector

I’m fitting a tow bar on a 2010 TDV8 and I’m loathed to pay £60 for a wiring kit which is basically just a 13pin socket some cable and the connector that plugs into the loom in the spare wheel well.

Does anyone know if you can buy from Land Rover or another the connector that plugs into the car loom in the spare wheel well.

I doubt you'll be able to buy the connector from Land Rover.

£60 doesn't seem an awful lot given it'll be pre-wired, the cables will be the right length and wrapped up nicely with the correct clips on them and the socket will come with the bracket to attach it to the armature.

On the earlier cars (2006 - 2010) the 13-pin wiring loom is circa £120 so £60 for the later one seems an OK buy IMO.

It might not but I’ve got a nearly new kit for the earlier cars that has a complete socket and grommet, so if I could get the correct plug then I’d be on to a cheap wiring kit.

The £60 kit for the later cars doesn’t include the gromit for the cable or the bracket to attach it to the armature. If it included the bracket I wouldn’t mind so much as the last one of those I bought was £13.

Thanks, although not looking for the complete kit just the plug at the end of the loom.

If you have a new early kit why not sell it on ebay/market place or alike and buy the pre made pucker kit? Whistle Wink

That is my other option I was looking to see if there was an easier route, no guarantee of selling the older kit is there Smile
