Travelling around UK mad Europe in my L322

Good evening all, first post on here, so hello from sunny Leicester, but of an out there question really on my first post, I've got my 2012 Westie kitted out for 'overlanding' I use the term.loosely of course, my question to anyone out there, is a TDV8 FFR a suitable car to do this in, I currently daily it and I've done some places in the UK with the RTT, but nothing spectacular, does anyone have experience with it themselves?

I know it's usually Fenders and Discos that people do this kind of thing in, but at the Land Rover shows Rangies are seldom seen 'kitted out' for expeditions, I know there's a bloke on YouTube that's done it to his L322, but he's about the only one I've seen, and he seems like he has 'money' if I may say?

as much as I'd love to have a TD5 disco or fender, there's just something about the 322's that makes me love the one I have, it's been reliable since I've had it for the last 2 years, I do the servicing myself and as much work on it as I can, my eldest lad works for an indie Lady specialist so I have that to fall back on as well.

My heart is very much telling me to do it, but there's always an element of trepidation with these things, I'm a realistic and I'm aware that Rangies aren't something that can be just fixed by the roadside when something major fails, but is that reason not to it?

Thanks for listening, if you have and good evening again 😂

Yeah I saw Sam had done one quiet recently, I've followed his channel for a while now, helped me do few things to mine, mostly the upgrade to the now outdated infotainment system, the Idcore system works a treat...

It's a Land Rover at heart and more comfortable in the rough than any of my previous Land Rovers were.

That's the one I mentioned having 'money' and fair play, but I can't just nip to Borneo for 3 months 😂
