I have a RING RTC 6000. It's cordless so you can easily get round all 4 tyres to check or adjust without trailing a lead which used to be an anhoyance with teh 12v pugin types I had before. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I have DeWalt 18v power tools, so bought their inflator & love it. Not worth it unless you're already into their system though. Makita also do one.

I have Makita 18v power tools, drill, impact driver torch etc,so went for their inflator , body only and have been very impressed with it.
They were on offer at Screwfix recently.

My drill came with a spare battery, so I bought body only.

I have used this for the last 4 years and it has been really good. Great for general tyre maintenance but maybe a little underpowered if you are inflating from totally flat.

Last cheap one I had couldn't pump up a RR tyre from flat, just plain overheated and burnt out, brand new Halfords one at that, they can handle pressure & top ups but fall to pieces when volume is required. Got my money back but decided to go big.

I must have burnt out a few of those cheap ones over the years, they simply aren't built to last, eventually I bought a heavy duty twin cylinder unit, still available now. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234375497247?ep...BMhtWAu-Zj

Cost me about £30 then which was a lot, then, now £118 through EBAY, with coiled hose and gauge but it's lasted me well over 10 years now and still works perfectly although I did extend the power lead to around 5m so I can get all around the car easier.

I'd highly recommend the extra outlay for the reliability. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

If you happen to be in the Red or Dead camp, Milwaukee do a seriously impressive unit. I have one and it will pump up anything you chuck at it. Needs a decent battery capacity to get the best out of it.

I've used a fair few of these over the years an all were rubbish. Only one I use now is the Milwaukee M18 Tyre inflator as it'll do a full range rover tyre without taking all day and over heating. Not cheap though so like others say if you are on a tool platform already that's the way to go

this is a random UK site with the unit bare no battery

DeWalt 18v tyre Model DCC018N-XJ 18V LI-ION - really good bit of kit, never let me down

Bought from Scewfix a few years ago for £100

NB but all my power tools are DeWalt, so easy to add it to the rest of them Smile

I don't have one as I carry a spare in the car.
Wondering why people wouldn't just pipe into the air system that's already on the vehicle and just get a spiral hose and a tyre inflation grip thing ?
The compressor in the L322 should be up to the task I'd say.
