Restricted Performance

Hello,

Got 2 codes this morning on the way to work and the usual restricted performance / limp mode.
I’m guessing it’s the intake donut hoses as they have been on and off a fair few times at a garage so probably worn out as they are the originals it seems.

Codes are:

P006A - MAF
P1247 - Turbo Underboost
P040D - EGR Temp (this one has always been there) no impact to performance though.

Has anyone had similar, and have a link to replacement hoses? Preferably silicone so they are stronger.

Do a forum search on the fault codes Wink
A 2012 car should have the updated hose connectors which are identifiable by the white lettering and are infact silicone. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Not from the factory but they may have been updated by a dealer or owner . They easy to identify as the old ones were moulded rubber with location slotts for teh hose clamps and teh new ones are smooth and shiny with white lettering. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Donut hoses

Hi All
My 2012 TDV8 has the rubber hoses and have just ordered 500mm of 70mm internal dims silicon tubing as suggested on the forum. Would it be ok to used the existing clips or would new clips be required?

The existing clips work fine and are of good quality.
If you put them on the new pipe whilst cutting they act as a guide and help to get a straight cut.
My 2012 Westminster had the old style pipes on. 2012 TDV8 4.4 Westminster Santorini black

Silicon hose

Any idea of the length size needed for the four pipes. I'm not sure they are all the same on the n/s and o/side as expected?

Can replacement ones be purchased as I am expecting to have a garage change an oil cooler/ gaskets on my L322 and have them replace the tubes then as an alternative to the silicon tube I bought? I couldn't find a supplier when I looked. Question

They are all identical size. Someone posted the exact sizes on here a while back so do a search. Also don't forget the mod for the main intake to throttle body seal that is another weak point that leaks. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Can I ask about the removal of the throttle body connections please. Is the electrical connection to the nearest section easily separated and the actual hose readily available also if replacement becomes necessary?
Sorry to bother you but it all looks a bit tight and better to know how before starting.

Found the write up by Furnitureman covering the removal of hose and steps to seal the connection to the throttle body with the “o rings” he used. Figure then that after the hose is removed there is room enough to reach the electrical connection to the plastic part. Well done Furnitureman.

Now what's holding me up?

Having been able to realign the hose clip attaching the hose to the plastic body (was almost down to the bottom of the hose) I'm almost there. Can someone enlighten me as to how disconnect the sensor plug though as big hands so far unable to pull that away, find something to unlock it?

I can now find some movement at the throttle body so be good to get the new o rings in place.
