Can you use any Infra Red Headphones with IR Rear Screens?

My car has aftermarket Veba rear screens and a PS2 fitted but it came with no headphones. The screens have IR senders, but I need to know if I can use any old IR headphones including the Land Rover ones. I tried contacting the manufacturer but got no response.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Tom

Well you might try asking if anyone with RSE could lend you a set of the Landrover headphones. But the genuine ones are handed, i.e. Channel A for the left screen and B for the right. So not sure if they will work with others makes.

Worth a try though.

Dom.

I bought cheap Philips IR headsets for when I have a 3rd kid in the back seat, and they work just fine, the only issue is the particular model I bought didn't have the capability of switching channels like the LR headsets do.

I now have the Freelander IR headsets as well as the FFRR ones and they all work great in the L322

Right, I bought two different sets one same brand as the screens and with two channels and silence! I cannot check the module as I think it is hidden deep under the passenger seat. So I have no idea why it does not work, there are no headphone cables that I can find so it must be wireless....

Anyone know any good TV/DVD screen installers in London that can give my system a once over and if need be I will upgrade? Tom

I'm in Pimlico SW1. I think the issue is that there is a problem with the signal or lack of it getting to the screens. The car has an aftermarket Veba system with two screens and playstation 2. But so far, I can not get the sound to work. It could be a simple replug of a wire, but I don't know the system and it is all hidden away so am happy to get a professional to check it out. Tom
