best door rubber treatment?

What do folks use to best protect the inner and outer window/door rubbers from a) freezing b) drying out?

I know Stan swears by gummi pflege rubber conditioner.

I am thinking of using WD-40 PTFE lubricant. Thoughts?

I previously used PMA silicone lube. but it seemed to dry out quickly on application.
