Suspension Compressor Removal

Hi Everyone,

Might seem a stupid question... but before removing my suspension compressor for a rebuild do I need to put the car on axle stands and bleed off any pressure built up within the system?
If so what's the best way to de-pressurise it?

Ta in advance>>>
