United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Height Sensors

Hi all . I’ve recently purchased an L322 3.6 TDV8 it’s a 2009 facelift . Apparently it’s called a 2010 model ! I have been sent the wrong front right height sensor. It bolts on ,but the plug doesn’t fit . Mine appears to have more pins. All the ones for sale have lots of pictures, but none of the inside of the plug . Does anyone know if I should be quoting my car as a 2009 or 2010 for parts or at least the part number I need mine says AH42-3C097-BC . Thanks

You need to quote it as a 2010 car as it’s a facelift whilst the car was registered in 2009 it is a 2010 model which the important bit from a parts point of view.

I would have expected a parts supplier if you had quote the reg or VIN to have been able to identify this.

The height sensors on the 2010 model year cars are different as all the 2010 cars I’ve seen have had the adaptive dampers and so the height sesnor is more like two height sensors in one on these cars.

Go to Advanced Factors and you can cross check your VIN number with the correct part. A car with adaptive suspension has a 6 pin height sensor. There is common consensus to only buy genuine sensors for trouble free operation if you have one that has failed but I just bought pattern part spare front and rear to keep in the car as an emergency replacement as I found out the hard way that a failed sensor can leave you stranded. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
