Newbie here having just purchased my first range rover, she's a 2008 4.2 supercharged vogue and loving it, it I've managed to crack the brackets on my deployable steps trying to replace the motors, does anyone know if I can buy just the brackets and where from I have been searching for days

As far as I'm aware the brackets are obsolete and aren't available any more.

Thank you for the reply, that's bad news for me.

It sucks that the parts are no longer available... I recently bought a L322, and I noticed that the car had the wiring harnesses installed for the deployable steps. The previous owner must've had the steps removed because they couldn't source the parts to fix them.

Yes I'm slowly figuring that out that it sucks. It's such a shame as I've bought the motors and managing to crack the bracket I was left with no choice but to remove them for now until I find a solution.

If you still have the parts, I would have thought a local engineering / fabrication firm could easily weld and re-machine them for you. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

I do indeed have the parts and that's not a bad idea at all... Although I have located parts on Ali express but slightly reluctant to buy
