I agree and it’s a major gripe of mine just how expensive the upgrade is on JLR products. It’s not worth the sum in question when compared to other brands

Is it possible to do the 2 1/2 hour navigation update while driving a long trip? Leaving it running idle for so long seems a little drastic to me. ----------

I've just updated the maps on my L405 and although it says you must keep the engine running for the update time I found that I set mine away yesterday whilst I was out and it got to about 50%, I switched the car off leaving the USB drive in the slot and today when I started the car up it continued with the update. In total I would say it took about 3 hours give or take 15 minutes but it's all updated now Cheers Ian

I have a 17my which only takes about 20-30 minutes to upload a new map. It maybe only adds the changes rather than the whole map each time. I can do this whilst driving and the system restarts when complete. |

Great help from this thread 👍 my 2013 has never had an update, so I have ordered the latest which is 2020. Incidentally there will be no further updates for 2013 models and limited updates are available. |
