Yes, Invoice price on the lease agreement was £37000, at 2 years old and 20K miles the lease company offered it to me for £12000. When I declined they asked if I wanted to make them an offer, so It has probably lost even more.
We're all good at pretending depreciation isn't happening to us and actually working out how much it has cost isn't always easy because we always think our cars are worth more than they actually are.
Best comparison I can make for a Range Rover - I'm sure you mentioned in a post that you had sold your 2012 L322 some time ago £7500? I've got a 2011 L322 that I've had for years so If I assume that my L322 was worth £7000 when you sold yours? then comparable L322s on Autotrader today are advertised for between £8000 & £12000 today.
Short answer is mine hasn't lost much.

£710 for my 2012 4.4 TDV8, 253 g/km Band L from Apr 1st.

Could be worse Big Cry

Andy

That's why I sold my TDV8 for a SDV8, I save £300 on road tax but lose around £10k a year in extra depreciation. Cars were never invented to make purchasers money.

The cost of road tax is negligible when comparing running costs.
My (thankfully leased) company Corsa EV has depreciated at a rate of £34 per day over the 2 years that I had it. This makes my Range Rover road Tax look like a bargain at less than £2 per day.

But if you wouldn't have to pay the road tax you would be out of pocket less.... Cool

Thats a LOT of money for a Corsa.

Make them a derisory offer, you may just get lucky

I'm under no illusions on this one, I am happy with my i3 which hasnt lost anything like the rates you've experienced.

Yep the market is a little better at the moment as long as it's not one of the later ones where insurance costs are causing prices to freefall.
