need odd help from anyone who has full meridian audio

My noise cancelling doesnt anymore. Dealer claims nothing wrong and no other cars with full monty audio to compare.

So here is the odd request

With music on and head turned to the side if you press you ear to the headrest you can hear speakers clearly working. But with music off and doing the same with a finger in the other ear I hear nothing when parked with passing traffic. I would have thought to hear the sound produced to counter external noise.
Am I wrong in thinking I should hear something?

could you please take a minute to try the same to see if you can hear any sound from speakers and let me know

Any audiophiles have any other suggestions to test system.
I have taken db readings and am about 5 to 6 db higher than readings others have posted. However this has proved insufficient to prove to dealer system is faulty.

clutching at straws I know but trying to find something definitive to prove its at fault.

just updated car software to 4.1.1 which includes audio upgrade, but car still noisier than when bought it.

thanks in advance it is better to have and not need then need and not have

Yes, you should hear the sound used to cancel the noise even when the system is off.
