United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey

One of my mates had a Jag and complained it made 3 pointed turns time consuming, but I've never really had any concerns about it. Sometimes I accidentally put in in S without noticing, then wonder why the gearbox is playing up Laughing I've had 6 and 8 speed ZF boxes and never considered the 6 speed anything other than lovely.

As for the paddles, I've used them a couple of times, usually incorrectly and then there's a horrible couple of seconds for the car to decide it can go back to fully automatic. I don't really bother with them anymore.

Undeniably the petrols are thirsty, no question, but how do you intend to use it, or what do you want from it?

Diesel fuel is more expensive than diesel, no L322 diesels are Euro 6 and EGR and DPFs add complexity for emissions controls, and DPF warnings when not used as they like.
Supercharged petrols have timing chain guides issues.

The TDV8 sounds silent/dull, the 5.0 supercharged whine is addictive.
The TDv8 has massive torque, but the the 5.0 supercharged will rev out more and make a nice noise doing it.

I don't do the miles to benefit from the TDV8's economy and would like more drama, so I'd sacrifice the mpg for the 5.0, but then that's why I'm trying to sell mine Laughing

I'm not trying to put anyone off, before anyway has a pop. I'm just saying I read the good about the TDV8 with the 8 speed box that could do 30mpg so I got one, but after a year I find myself looking at resonator deletes and remaps.

Yes I'm not growing up any time soon.

OP decisions, decisions ...... Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!
