I’m looking to touch in some very minor chips on my centre console cup holder and found this paint listed online. Does anyone know if it’s the same colour as RR Foundry Grey? Des

I tried to get hold of Ford Boulder Grey, which is used on various highlights on my ‘21 orange Ranger Wildtrak, but the paint code wasn’t released by Ford at that time, so I just got my local paint shop to scan & match it, and they made me 2 aerosol cans up for £18 each. Not cheap, but it was a perfect match, and my aftermarket grille with the big “FORD” letters looks much more OEM than most.  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I seem to remember folk using a Mercedes colour. Might be a thread somewhere.

These are great suggestions but I’m looking to touch in the small chips rather than respraying the whole thing. If I get the Foundry Grey can off eBay, can I spray some into say, a bottle top and use it as a small paint pot?

I’d appreciate advice from those more experienced in the fine art of paintwork correction.

Picture for interest following a machine polish and fitment of the new side steps.

Someone on the thread mentioned that the eBay seller also does touch up too, I didn’t look for that to be honest.

Update: there is no paint pot or pen version of the spray can. I’ve ordered it and will try spraying some into a container to ‘spot’ it into the chips. Will update with pics. Des
