Volume using Bluetooth

Hi
When I connect my phone to the car usinjg Bluetooth and play my music. The volume is extremely low. Listening to the Radio the volume is around the 10 to 12 setting. When playing music from my phone I have to turn it up to 30 plus. Is this normal?

TIA

I think you’ll find the volume on your phone is the reason. Normally with audio equipment, you have the input device (in this case phone) at full volume and then adjust to suit on the amp.

It’s a nuisance to adjust the phone volume every time you use Bluetooth but that might solve the volume difference. If so, at least you know. Des

OK, set my phone to full volume and I still have to turn up the volume in the car to around the 30 plus mark (normally 10 to 12 is fine). Connect via blue tooth to my wifes Freelander and all works as it should i.e. I don't have to turn up the volume to hear it. So a bit stumped as to what it could be.

It does sound odd.

Just a thought: is it possible that the 2013 Freelander uses more modern tech than the 2013 RR? I have noticed that phone and hi-fi volume are equalised in my 2018 Mini (and on the 2013 one before that) but I have to adjust the phone volume on my 2005 RR even with the 2009 bt module fitted. Des

If you go into the audio settings of the unit (on the L322 you held the audio button for 3 seconds - not sure how you do it on the Bosch system, but i'm pretty sure it's there), you can adjust the individual volume levels outputs of phone, radio, auxiliary etc. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
