United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Cairns Blue
[sold] 2002 (52) Range Rover L322 V8 Vogue

Our much loved RR V8 is sadly up for sale. It has an MOT due at the end of March this year (25th) and we know that it will not pass due to body issues and some corrosion on the rear subframe.

We have gone ahead with the purchase of a RR Sport (4.2 SC) due for collection next week so rather than having Rodney V scrapped we thought that it might be of interest as a Project car or for parts.
Engine is very good (BMW M62)
Car has been regularly serviced by a local mechanic and has had over the past couple of years:
ABS Module (I have the old one)
New Air Suspension compressor ( I have the old one)
Fairly new set of Pirelli Scorpion tyres

Issues:
Some damage to rear nearside passenger door and wheel arch (see pics) I have the plastic lower door moulding
Hole in rear nearside wheelarch
Slight hesitation on gearbox when moving off and into reverse.
Tear in drivers seat squab (wife is only short and its a big climb in!)
CD Autochanger doesnt recognise CD's

Unique feature!

It STILL has the Land Rover branded car phone in the centre console!!! There cant be many of those in existence!

After 25th March Car would have to be trailered away as MOT will have expired and I do not have the space to dismantle for parts on the drive.

I would love to keep the car and restore it but do not have the tools, garage space or ability!

Apart from the above bodywork issues, rest of the car is good for its age and mileage (154000 we think as pixels have gone!)

Rear seats untouched and I have the rear load area cover and tow bar.

If we could get around the £1750- £2000 mark we would be happy as it has been a good car overall

Any more photos required please message / email. Devizes area.

Would make a good Project for green laning, although my wife would be upset at that!

I think you’re pretty keen on pricing their buddy - I sold my 03 4.4 with 170k with rotten rear subframe and slightly rusty arch in 2019 for £2.2k - that also had a full facelift conversion and a gearbox rebuild 10k previously.
I don’t want to be rude but I think you’re looking 500-1k as it sits - you’d be better breaking yourself if you can and you’d make more Current stable:

Following on from Dan's reply, I think he is right so I think we would be happy around £1000.

Thanks

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

Hi, just looking at it I can see an easy £1000 in parts alone that you can remove in a couple of hours and get fair money on EBAY that are always in demand, the bumpers look ok, the lights front & rear, looks like a dog guard there, floor mats, the tyres (swap for junkers), tailgate looks in fair condition, the HID bulbs, the wood trim, door mirrors (assuming the electrics work) & rear parcel shelf (if it's there). You've got all the ECUs and electronic modules, motors, like sunroof, suspension compressor, FBH if it's fitted, remote alone is worth £100, and a host of other stuff that you could strip for good money without turning your drive into a junkyard and without getting that dirty.

Then just call the scrappy to collect what's left. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

With the corrosion underneath we have decided to scrap the car within the next two weeks (will have to be before the 24th).

It is in daily use at the moment by my wife.

Shame really as the engine is good but there is a definite fault on the gearbox (vibration and delay when going into first and reverse), also the rear suspension arm is corroded and would need welding.

We couldnt really sell it to someone in its current state sooo if anyone is interested in it for parts it can go for £750 but would have to be trailered away or driven up to the 24th when MOT expires.

It has:

Rear parcel shelf and extendable dog guard / Luggage mesh,
Rebuilt / refurbed ABS module
Good engine (no VANOS issues)
Interior very good apart from tear on Drivers access side.
Mirrors - heated and movement - all good
Rear seats unmarked
Box full of service records / Bills etc
Four almost new Pirelli Scorpion tyres
Upper tailgate good, bit of rust on the upper edge of lower tailgate
ORIGINAL CAR PHONE in Centre Console!!
Headlamps inc HID bulbs good
Interior trim in excellent condition
Original owners manual
Drinks holders all work!
Alloy wheels all in good condition
Electric seat movement all works on drivers & passenger, plus seat heaters and steering wheel heaters.
Cruise control all ok

We really dont want to scrap it as it has been a great car for the past 14 years of ownership (we are second owners from new), we know its worth more as parts broken down but I dont have the garage equipment, tools or space to do that, so it has to go one way or the other.

Devizes area.

Thanks![/u]

The car has got to go by next Friday 22nd. After that the MOT expires and my only option is to have it taken away to a scrapyard.
It would be a shame as there is much in it that is good such as interior trim, cup holders, seats (rears are untouched), carpets, all electronics, emgine etc etc etc.
Gearbox would probably need a rebuild though
