Well after 45 yes of marriage ( too late to change now) SWMBO declared she was cold so I told her to turn the temperature up on her side. “What was that little ring thing that fell off?” Never to be seen again - I can’t actually remember where I got them (all 3) can anyone remind me?

After investigation g I know where it’s gone - into the hole/void under the passenger seat and my big hands don’t fit, I’m not taking the seaT out to get it back. I just stuck the Autobiography badge on because I didn’t like the big blank space that was there. Not sure if the trim rings are magnetic if so I might try a magnet on a piece of string.

What am I thinking, it’s made of aluminium so a magnet will be of no use. Geoff |

If you remove the four bolts securing the seat rails to the floor, you should be able to tip the seat back against the rear seat to gain access, without removing the seat or unplugging anything. Jonathan 2007 Defender 90 XS Hardtop |

Wouldn’t you just know it, retrieved the trim after giving it another go (it was in the hole in the floor) and of course just ordering replacements. When they arrive I’ll do the controls in the back and experiment to find how best to fix them in place. Geoff |

That is indeed what has happened, double sided tape dried out. I think I'll just use glue as its not likely I'll be removing them - well not intentionally that is Geoff |
