I tapped a 1/8 NPT thread then fitted a 1/8" NPT to 3/8" barb and fitted a 90 deg 3/8" to 3/8" barb at the other end as that fitting also easily breaks, to use 3/8" hose. When I recently replaced all the coolant hoses I retained my modified coupling, hose and the 90 deg at the other end rather than fit fragile originals. |

I broke another connection on that brittle pipe. Any ideas how to fix it?

I had a closer look and its a connection element between two pipes. Some sort of stent.

That stent is broken. Unfortunately you cannot buy only this small part, comes with bunch of other hoses. If anyone needs here is the part number, LR022690

More research on this forum showed me that this connector is actually a fuel line quick connector, see discussion here
