heated seats

My heated seats are so hot i,m sure they would cook me if i left them on is this right or is there a problem i can only use them on the first setting , boiling. Even my steering wheel gets to hot on my old sport it used to ease off after a certain temp but not this car. overfinch modified

I don't find mine particularly hot (MY17). My L322 was much hotter - perhaps you have an issue?

I do find the steering wheel quite hot though, I like that though

Compared to my L322, the seats in my car don’t get as warm, nor do they cool as much. If your’s are getting too hot, I’d say there was an issue with them, but being an electrical ingoramus, I couldn’t say what it might be.

I think you're right, I have mine on pretty much all the time (lowest setting) and find them comfortable. Geoff

The thing is does anyone know what can cause this? I cannot have them on anything but the lowest setting and even then I have to turn them off , will have to check passenger seat also. overfinch modified

I seem to have the opposite issue. Unless my seats are cranked up to max I can’t feel any heat. Even on max it is just about warm and not hot. My previous cars (BMWs) were all capable of giving third degree burns. So interested to know if there is a temp regulator that may be causing my low temp and also the problem the OP is raising of too hot.

Same here, heating is very weak. Cooling is OK though and was very nice last year in the South of France. The heated seats of my wifes Freelander 2 are much better at heating.

I have a 2015 L405 Autobiography. You have the heated and cooled seats (heated and cooled use a different system to heated only), the seats will cook you if on setting 3. I'd consider this perfectly normal and the sign of a healthy peltier cell.

I can use heat setting 1, which I would consider warm enough. 2 and above aren't tolerable for me, but the other half loves sitting there and becoming a casserole.

It was the same on my L322, which I put new Peltier cells in. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I thought something was wrong as these seats are much hotter than on all my previous Range Rovers and the steering, but obviously, there is not a problem as others also have seats hotter than their ovens.
