2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Engine oils

Was thinking about C1 oils
I live on south coast…I don’t really need a 5w on cold morning and was thinking of using a 10w40 instead of the 5w30
And then i found this:

Any thoughts on this 5w40 ?

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

SPECIFICATION - ACEA A3/B4-16

This is not a C1 specification oil. It's meant for a Citroen C1.... Rolling with laughter

The 4.4 TDV8 needs a very specific oil for a reason. I would urge you not to skimp on it.

This is a good economical choice:

If JLR said 5w40 was suitable, they'd list it as a compatible oil

They don't, it needs 5w30 C1 spec Thumbs Up

As above, the Smith & Allan or I can also recommend Petronas 5000 FJ.

Specification has to be 5W-30 ACEA C1 WSS-M2C934-B STJLR.03.5005.

Don't skimp on oil filter - the original OEM is Mahle OX153/7D2 and is only a few quid more than cheapies. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
