Wales 2003 Range Rover SE Td6 Zambezi Silver
Red light on top of dashboard.

This may seem like a silly question, but I've only had a RR for a couple of weeks and nothing is mentioned in the book. What is the red light in the middle of the top of the dashboard. (just behind the windscreen). It looks like an alarm warning light but that is fitted to the bottom of the rear view mirror. Not sure what the light is for. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

probably the sensor for the remote.

Is that not the solar load sensor for the ATC?

The central locking is RF - not IR (in most markets - those who require IR the reciever is fitted into the mirror housing)

Solar load sensor? I guess I will have to take your word for that lol. Thanks for the replies folks. Nice forum here, I am sure I will have loads of questions about my new toy. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

It detects the amount of sunlight hitting the cabin and adjusts the Climate Control before the sun heats the cabin up.

i think DAN is correct ,it appears on microcat as a 'SENSOR - HEATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL, AIR CONDITIONER SUNLOAD Part number: JTF000020'
