L359 PDC module in a L322

Has anyone attempted to install the LR2/L359 PDC module in a L322? I have a 2011 supercharged L322 . The modules look almost identical. The USED L322(AH42-15K866-BG) modules are $150 - 350+ the L359's (AG92-15K866-BB) are <$50. I assume they arent' interchangeable, but if they are this is a hello of a deal. I know the modules aren't vin specific.

Does your head unit display show PDC warning indicators when reversing close to an obstruction ?

Like this :

If so, then I'm afraid that you probably do need the expensive one.
The less expensive ones are usually priced thus owing to their lesser functionality.

I believe the cheaper module will probably work.
But you'll lose the PDC related graphics when reversing.

Discovered this when following the failure of my unit, my indy swapped in one from a car without this function.
Worked as a PDC unit, but without the warning graphics.

Mine is AH42-15K866-BG

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the details on this. I don't have those red lines, I have no beeps and no function form the park assist button.

I did some preliminary digging and I found my issue. I don't have a PDC module. Does this mean that it is coded out? Do I need to code it back on when I get a new PDC or can I plug it in and it will be recognized?

Sorry for the questions I am new to this.

Ah, sorry matey.
I fear we have now stepped beyond the bounds of my admittedly quite meagre knowledge.

With luck someone more experienced well happen by before too long.
