IID Tool Discharge.

Hi folks. Took delivery of my 2020 L405 at the weekend. Although bought as an 'Approved' vehicle, i plugged in my IID tool out of curiosity. Great to see there were no faults but without thinking I left the IID plugged in, I'd done so in my old L320 without problems. Early this morning I got a surprise call from the tracker people to say they had just lost contact with my car, that I should check immediately in case it had been stolen. Well it was where I left it but the battery had completely discharged overnight. Could the IID be the cause? If yes, why did it not affect my old Sport?

My L322 lasted overnight , but was nearly flat by lunchtime last time I left it plugged in. Luckily it was in my garage so CTEK to the rescue.

My L322 also runs the battery down if it’s left plugged in - there’s a reference to this in the Gap manual so to be expected. Jonathan

Thanks Mike.
Just want to be sure it was me. It is supposedly a new battery. Smile

Just a quick update folks - oh, and a wee question.

Removed IID and recharged the battery, looks like the battery survived. One thing I am suck with though is the 'Theft Alert' message on the Remote App. Usual functions are disabled and no help on restoring them. Any ideas?

Now sorted. Seems the tracker people should have reset the app once they'd verified the car had not been stolen. Quick call and all done.
