oh and by the way i tried to eject the sat nav cd but had no luck..there was no response from the eject button

England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

My BMW sat nav (mk 3) on my old 330ci did that a few times reverting back to its basic mode, but on starting the car later, the system would reboot and load the updated system stuff. I think it is a problem with the computer which is also the CD drive. Best option is to upgrade to MK 4 DVD unit. I think for the older 322s you can use a BMW or Rover part as they are compatible. Tom
