So I’ve read lots of stuff on here, and there appears to be a load of smoke and mirrors, regarding EGR delete, and DPF.
The 4.4 TDV8 is a bloody good engine.
Yes it needs to be looked after….
But, the strangulation that the tree hugging bureaucrats have placed upon it, make longevity, regardless of maintenance almost impossible, if you are driving normally.
If you’re driving long distances daily on Mways no problem.
I blocked off both EGR’s on my 3.6. No need for a remap, and six months later it was running like a dream.
The oil, which I replaced every 3K was almost as viscous as it was beforehand.
Just replaced oil on my 4.4 after 3K.
It was as black as the ace of spades, and thin as you like.
So having found someone who manufactures the perfect blanking plate, I need to know who are the people to go and see to have the EGR mapped out.
I know it’s illegal, but so is my Firestick, and various other things that I have about!
