So what is so special

About the 4.4 tdv8 that justifies it price , when the basic Vogue is just that "BASIC" kicking off at £64/66k Whistle

2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

even the basic one is relatively well specc'd when you compare to similar vehicles (Q7, Cayenes etc).

But mostly, it's just the engine that's special Smile

The 4.4TDV8 is an extremely good engine. Very fast, quiet and sounds nice at higher revs. All Range Rovers come well specced compared to the BMW equivalents etc.

drive 'em all Mick; drive 'em all and then all will become quite clear.

The difference is difficult to put into words IMHO, but that doesn't mean it's not clear Smile

I guess it depends on what you're comparing it to ?
Another make or an older FFRR ?

A good friend of mine drove the 4.4TDV8 over the weekend. He has the 3.6 and then he drove mine (JE version) and he said the remapped 3.6 is better than the 4.4.

I will be driving the 4.4 in July but not at speed as it's an LRE day. Will see what my first impressions are. Discovery 4 HSE

My remapped 3.6 is far slower than my 4.4 and no where near as responsive, As was shown by the data runs we did here on 3 cars , posted a few weeks ago. My 3.6 also returns 19 RT and the 4.4 24+ RT so i am afraid got to totally disagree with that one RRUK. Far to many gone...
