United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver
First Post: is this overdoing preventative maintenance?

Finally back to the marque this week after a few years in a Grand Cherokee WK (sorry!). Just treated myself to a very reasonably priced and cosmetically excellent 2008 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 with 115k. A well preserved example of its type and my mental budget has wriggle room to undertake some preventative measures.
Obviously new bodily fluids all round, some underbody rust treatment and prevention, gearbox flush etc are all mandatory.
The car drives beautifully, I’m capable of most suspension work myself and quite a few electrical jobs.
Where I fail and where I guess most of us do is in the jobs that take a long time.
If I could I would change both EGRs (not keen to EGR delete) and turbos as I don’t have access to previous detail of the car's history because the owner did not keep details from a well known 4x4 Indy that went out of business.
So, where there is no evidence of problems my question to you is whether you’d consider it overkill to change these 4 major bits. Will it result in greater longevity of the rest of the engine block if I do? I am a bit fearful of the stories of the engine being lunched by EGR and turbo failure. Is it more sensible to get both done at the same time? Or should I just chill and remain sensitive to changes in how the car runs.
Sorry for the long post. I used to reside on Disco3.co.uk and hugely enjoyed those days. Just needed to scratch the FFRR itch! TIA

Delete both EGR physically with a kit and map them out electronically. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
2025MY Defender D350 90 in Silicon Silver on coils
1974 Series 3 Lightweight = "Millie"

Hello, oddly, I was wondering the same, just throw it in somewhere to get done.

Was thinking of taking the car through Europe with the family, so anything to make it as reliable as can be for it.

I would definitely recommend you blank off the EGR’s with a decent kit.
You do not need to have them mapped out on the 3.6.
Providing you change the oil regularly the EGR’s will continue to operate, but have no bearing on the operation of the vehicle.
The ECU will still call for the operation of the units as per normal, but the vehicle will be much nicer to drive.
Sadly it is not as simple on the 4.4
