Perfectly normal for the age of the car. You won't find one without this. Just slap some Hammerite over it and forget about it. The door seal covers it anyway. You should be more concerned about rust on the tailgate or about the (visible) rear arches. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom |

I've just had the welding done on mine and the arches were sanded back and finished with stoneguard.

As has been said they all suffer on the edge of the arch so I wouldn't worry too much.
