Spare parts out of stock…. L460

My car was hit from behind and the garage has now been waiting for parts for almost 30 days. It is a fog light and the rear spoiler that need parts but Jaguar Land Rover Rover cannot give a date when they are able to deliver two of several parts needed to complete the car since the parts are out of stock…Is this normal?

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Ipanema Sand

JLR are merging circa 18 parts warehouses into a single complex. Apparently it is not going well! I was talking to a friend on New Years Eve who’s Discovery Sport has been in the dealers for 3 months awaiting gearbox parts.
I read that there are over 10,000 cars in dealers awaiting parts…..lengthy delays to accident damage adds hire car costs and certainly doesn’t help with insurance quotes. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Uff, that’s no good news… Sounds like my wife will be right when she estimated 3 month repair time, only because of it is my fantastic Range Rover…. I wonder why I never give up this brand… Anyway I will start to hunt Land Rover Spain in this matter.

Update. The two missing parts is now loaded on the truck and will be at the garage within 15 days! At least good news! I suppose that I will have my car back within 20 days that means in total abut 50 days in courtesy car for me. If spare parts have been available this should have taken maximum 10-14 days….

It went faster than expected Smile. Got the car back January 19. So in total approx 40 days at the garage. Maybe not so bad at all.
