Hi,

Mine has the back box bypassed, well I think it fell apart, noise is burbly but not at all noisy, sound great as your just idling through traffic get some nice feedback from buildings, tunnels etc. Windows up can't hear it at all in the car at anything over 20mph.

Hi,

Forgot to add, be careful how they fit it as they meet crossing the rear beam, on mine the fitters put the pipes too close together so now I can't get the trolley jack onto the cross beam.

Looks like in the pictures they;ve done the same in that example.

I'll have to either have them redon ro figure out some means of jacking the rear, probably have to get a jack cross beam to avoid crimping the pipes.

Good luck, well worth doing.

Rob, The 3.6 is the sweet spot as far as exhaust noise goes... Some years ago I bought Colin McRae's old 2007 TDV8 322 which was fitted with an Overfinch exhaust rear silencer and "oh my word" what a lush noise... Im afraid the 4.4 TDV8 (as eluded to above) doesn't get as much noise from the exhaust due to the DPF. If the DPF is removed IMHO they sound sh Censored it! I think its a characteristic of the engine unfortunately... Thumbs Up

Just my personal opinion, but modifying the exhaust system to increase noise / get a burble on a Range Rover L322 is, well, not very becoming of the marque is it? Twisted Evil

Lights blue touch paper and stands well back! Shocked

I'm with you on that, the silence of the car with the sweet whistle of the turbos is brilliant IMHO. BMW i3 Electric Car

The CAT and DPF act as a very effective silencer system. Agree that the sound of the 3.6 is very nice. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Hi, No idea how to upload video to youtube, although I did record the sound when idling, pretty much the same as the original post with the car on the ramps although mine less whistly and not quite so tinny, mines a bit more bassy.

I'll try to edit it and upload to Youtube.

Anyway, as I was saying, mines not straight through as per the original post but you can see the fixings and how I can't use the cross beam as a jacking point now. Getting a bit rusty as well, I'll have to treat that.
