Hi All Quick one really, i've noticed since buying my L405 that the rear lights are always on. You know how you catch a glimpse in a shop window of the rears lights, whilst admiring your beautiful purchase. TBH I dont really mind, seems one less thing to worry about if your rears are on or not due to poor/darkish weather.
just wondering really. i did try to search the forum, but to no avail.

probably because you have them in auto position which I always do as well  2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

if your drl's and rears are on at the same time then thank the EU for starting a directive to this requirement and then not going through with it...
i think it was around 2015'ish that this drl/rear thing was happening but then cancelled..

mine has it and i reckon its a good idea.. ... - .- -.

thanks for the replies, lights are the only thing I leave on Auto, made the mistake once of leaving winscreen wipers on auto and during a really cold snap left the wiper blades on the screen during an unintentional wipe.

I also had DLR rears on my E70 X5 but i believe that was a wiring fualt whichj is why i asked.
