I have been checking the battery as I have checker that tells me the cranking state which is 8.93 which is low, the battery state of charge is 11.83 standing over night without the use of the FBH.

I think it maybe the battery is at fault as when I start from cold it takes a few seconds before fires up, I do check that everything is turned off the night before ie; lights wipers etc.

Like everyone will know over use of radio with the door open will produce the same message on the dash, Low battery start car.

The thing is I don't use the car that much and try not to do short journeys when I do because of DPF problems.

Not sure how to proceed with the claim on the battery under warranty? 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

I have the same issue this morning. I only drive short trips (5 miles each way). I replaced my battery 1 year ago with a landrover supplied battery. For me its the combination of short journeys +FBH use 3 times per week + heated steering wheel and occasional use of heated seats!

All in all too much to expect from even a new battery. I just charge mine up once a month in the winter 2015 Range Rover L405 SDV8 AB Corris grey

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

Hi,

When I first got the car I saw the message a few times so as I didn'y know the history went out and bought the biggest AGM battery that I could fit in the hole.

AGM as they are specialy made for high drain elecronics & stop start.

Not seen the message at all and I've been using the FBH on timed climate every day since early November.

Not saying it'll cure your problem but going with Halfords or LR recommendation based on car model you need to bear in mind they're talking 10+ year old technology, batteries have moved on and of course they do tend to push old stock.

Cheers
