Ensure that the MAP sensor is clean as it gets clogged which then affects performance. |

Yeh map sensor clean. Had exactly the same issue on my Evoque. |

Never noticed any lag at all on SDV8. Certainly have on the Evoque however which is mentioned above. 2016 SDV8 AB |

Not sure if lag is the correct description. Occasionally when I need to pull out quick in busy traffic there is a delay before throttle response. If I’m driving normal never notice anything. |

Pablo - I know what you describe on the Evoque (my experience was with a 2012 SD4) where it was almost embarrassing at junctions and roundabouts the extent to which you had your foot down but nothing seemed to happen for a couple of seconds.

Yeh that’s it. Thought it would me more common. Searched Google and there seem to be a few people with issues and apparently a remap solves it. |

I imagine any remap that “solves” it will just be like one of those pedal box things which just amplify the signal from the accelerator (so 50% throttle becomes 75%, or whatever). |

My 4.4TDV8 L322 has been remapped, primarily to disable EGR but with a little extra power on WOT because the cost was the same. I had done a test with EGR blocked and the improved throttle response was substantial, but overall undrivable due to the PCM closing the EGR butterfly trying to reduce clean air flow and increase EGR flow as soon as the accelerator was backed-off. I wasn't prepared to remove the throttle plate as I have installed a system to close the EGR butterfly for a while when the ignition is switched off to ensure no engine runaway if the primary turbo fails and puts oil into the air intake.

The Evoque issue for me was it trying pull away in second for a smooth acceleration initially, you think its too slow so plant the throttle, it then realising you wanted full effort, so it would do a change down ( i.e pause even more) before then launching. Net result , crap take off.
