I

I seem to be getting the hang of it, fingers crossed. Still not sure why I can't get the regen status but at least I can see what's going on. Looking forward to my first regen Embarassed . My Mrs thinks it's all a bit sad but they just don't understand. Wink
Hopefully keep you to that pint when time permits Gremlin.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies. I got the wifi connection working and all seems fine, just need an excuse for nice long run to try it out now.
I couldn't understand why when I look at 'ALL Sensors' in demo mode it shows things like trigger point, regen status and exhaust temperatures but when I make the wifi connection they aren't there? also I'm still newfangled with the car but I can't find any service indicator on it. Maybe mine doesn't have it. I feel a few days of extensive fiddling coming on and a trip to sunny Seaham for enlightenment could be on the cards.
Many thanks
Pete

Sorry if I’ve got the wrong end of the stick (quite commmon with me!) but if you’re looking for “distance to next service” you can find this on your dash information screen, but only if the car is not running. I.e. press the start button without your foot on the brake. Then navigate down to service. 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey

Could you post which profile you’re using in the App, and what model of L405 you have? We’ll then try to point you to the regen status (which is the most important one!) 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey

Tip: Don’t use any profile, choose “All Sensors” then pick your Dashboard sensors from the full list! “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

It's a 2015 l405 Vogue TDV6 or might it be SDV6?? According to the dealer it's SD but it's in for a recall next week so I'll double check. I'll also ask them about the miles to next service read out which I definitely can't find.
I've tried selecting the profile from Land Rover and Range Rover. The regen status is there with each and I can configure it into the dashboard in demo mode but as soon as I make the connection it disappears. Maybe I should set up with the connection made Neutral . Will fiddle again tomorrow and report back.

Just a thought: I downloaded the car scanner pro app and paid for the Android upgrade. I can’t find any account details to see if I actually got the upgrade and I specified Bluetooth but bought the WiFi elm by mistake. Could this explain the missing data? Does anyone know how to contact car scanner or view my account to see what I bought? Might just try a BT one Neutral

You can contact the Developer Stanislav via the App, I think Kot explains it above somewhere……

It's that Spridget bloke back again, still on about DPF regens.

Still couldn't get exhaust temperatures to stay on the dashboard when connecting. I tried various vehicle profiles and eventually found that Jaguar F Pace with the 3 litre engine does the trick. Success at last Very Happy although I still can't get the regen status at least I've got temperatures to watch.

Now to watch for my first regen Whistle

Joining this party a couple of years late. Had a read through from beginning to end (reading on screen in print mode is a bit easier).

App up and running. Already had a scannner (below), bought for another car, which connects up perfectly.

LELink Bluetooth Low Energy BLE OBD-II OBD2 Car Diagnostic Tool for iPhone/iPod/iPad and Android

Recently had an EGR temperature sensor fail which led to a DPF red warning and restricted performance. Quite a costly repair as the sensor broke on removal.

I’m now more interested in this topic. I even went and googled the difference between active and passive regen! 2016 SDV8 AB

ABAB look at the WS manual in the Wiki there is a good explanation in there, on how system works.
