New electric jack.

I've always struggled to get my car on axle stands and with ageing bones found it difficult to use my trolley jack.
I've bought a 5 ton electric jack and alongside some wooden blocks and an old leisure battery I can do it quite comfortably now.
The jack fits under the rear subframe, in the centre and goes between the 'V' of the exhaust.
The jack almost lifts both tyres off the ground and I've found if I let the jack back down about 4 inches the car will only drop a bit letting me put another piece of wood under the jack and when raised again will lift the wheels off the ground.
All this is done in safety with the remote lead on the jack and then it's easy to position the axle stands accurately because the jack will lower in small increments with the switch. Thumbs Up

That looks good, maybe putting fatty in offroad height first would negate having to jack it twice... Thumbs Up Pete

Already had it in offroad Pete. Always amazed by the amount of travel the suspension has!

Hi Graeme, got it from Amazon.
'Durhand 5 ton Electric car jack with impact wrench'
Quite a few places sell them for vastly different prices at the moment.

Nice one Kev, I had not seen these until your post, I don't need one yet, but at my age it may be required in the not too distant future Whistle Big Cry

Saw your recenty posted pic of the RR with the tin tent, looks very nice Thumbs Up

Thankyou Rob. Hope you are well mate. I tried all sorts of contraptions to get to the recommended rear jacking point between the 'V' in the exhaust and this fits the bill nicely. Thumbs Up
