Newbie here - I am very close to purchase my dream car... It is a RR Vogue L405 4.4SDV8

I wish I could have gone for the Vogue SE however, I've really struggled to find one within my budget.

I am hoping you can help with understanding the service schedule on a SDV8 (2014) the person I am buying off tells me it has JLR to 85k miles and then all independent from there - I have the following:
Ensure differential oil has been changed (if not, I'll do this if so how much would this cost please?)
Transfer box oil change (if not, I'll do this if so how much would this cost please?)

Are there any belts / pulleys etc I need to ensure have been done / changed? The car is on 104k - it is my first RR and I am hoping to wrap her a lovely pink colour too!

P.s. Just like all of you, I've worked far too hard to afford a luxury car like this, would you say if I'm going for a RR then to do it properly and ONLY get a Vogue SE or is Vogue okay?

Hi, buying a FF Range Rover..you will be stepping into luxury and it comes as standard…but then it just depends on how much luxury/convenience feature do you want.

As the higher you go in range: Vogue, Vogue SE, Autobiography etc

You will get more n more convenience/comfort and luxury features added but they do come at a price.

But the age/mileage range you are looking at I don’t think the price difference will be massive.

In terms of service costs…I’m sure more knowledgeable people on this forum will guide you.

Which is
Replace interior air filter.
Renew engine oil and filter.
Renew brake fluid.
Drain fuel filter water trap.
Replace front accessory drive belt.
Renew transmission oil and filter.
Renew front differential oil.
Renew rear non-locking differential oil (if fitted).

And the year before is 96 months
Replace interior air filter.
Renew engine oil and filter.
Replace the air cleaner element.
Replace fuel filter element.
Renew transfer box oil.
Renew rear locking differential oil (if fitted).

If you do short runs then you may need to renew oil more frequently than yearly/ 12k miles.
Find a local Indy garage that has experience with FFRR.
Fit a Ghost, visual deterrents and a good tracker as its open season with the tea leafs etc and get Insurance quotes now as you may then change your mind. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

For the transfer box, diffs and gearbox, get the flushed and refilled by Ian Bodsworth (Bodsy) 07770 638023. He is very reasonable price wise.

Thanks, I think you assumed I was a 18 year old female living in London. Thankfully, our rural village has not had a car theft probably since the 70's!

I never assume anything, the Land Rover marque is experiencing lots of thefts hence Insurance is starting to sky rocket coming your way soon.

So dont rely on the RR factory immobiliser or the factory tracker, and disable keyless entry. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue
