For what it's worth I have more than a few mates who've had issues with emissions systems on their D4s with the same motors that are in the diesel RRs.

If you are lucky enough to not care about the economics, or (like me) do so few miles it doesn't really hit you, then for me the petrols are just smoother, quieter and cleaner. You maybe miss a bit of low-end torque, but not even so much as the AJ-Vs are tuned to produce torque curves with more low-end - which you need for towing and for control in difficult terrain.

If you have a Euro6 diesel RR, I think you will amost certainly have trouble with yellow lamps and smoke if you don't run her up to full temperature with decent load and revs for decent periods of time.

I'm on my 3rd oil change since the end of May. Hang on, its 4 as it was serviced before I bought it in May, WTF. But then I'm not sure if they had reset the oil service light.
